Passion Fruit Seedlings:
Passion Fruit is a perennial crop which produce fruits within a year. Fruits can be eaten fresh or processed into juice.
SCAN AgriAbility Nursery offers two major Passion Fruit varieties grown in Kenya, namely;-
• Passiflora edulis- which is purple in colour when ripe, quite acidic and tasty and juiciness varieties. It has a strong romantic scent and is a round in shape.
• Passiflora Flavicarpa – the Yellow colour when ripe, oval in shape and less a romantic. This variety does very well in Kenya. One hectare of land can yield 15-20 Tonnes of Passion fruit produce, that is enough to earn farmers upto one million shillings compared to maize which earns Ksh 35,000 to Ksh 60,000 per acre.
